Mars is sometimes called the Red
Planet. It's red because of rusty iron in the ground. Like Earth, Mars has
seasons, polar ice caps, volcanoes, canyons, and weather. It has a very thin
atmosphere made of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and argon.
Due to Mars orbit one day on the red planet lasts 24.6
hours.However because of its larger orbital radius and different tilt axis it
takes Mars almost twice as long to complete one full rotation around the
sun.Which makes a year in mars more than 700 earth days.
Mars is the fourth planet from the sun and is considered one of the rocky planets,or terestial planets.
